Questions from the glove box

Frequently asked questions.

Are these courses specific to my vehicle?

They teach general decision-making and technique, but your owner manual always controls lifting points, tools, capacity, and procedures for your vehicle.

Can a jack support a vehicle while I work beneath it?

A jack is intended for lifting. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and use approved support stands where a repair requires sustained support.

What if the ground is soft or sloped?

Do not improvise on unstable ground. Move to a safer location if possible or contact roadside assistance.

Do I need prior mechanical experience?

No. The Foundations courses introduce terminology and sequence before more specialized lessons.

Can I study on a phone?

Yes. The pages use readable contrast, responsive layouts, and short sections suitable for reviewing beside a parked vehicle.

How do Fallows work?

Select Follow on a catalog item. Its ID is stored locally in your browser and appears on the Fallows page until you remove it.

How does the cart work?

Add lessons from the catalog, adjust quantities on the cart page, and review the local demonstration checkout message.

When should I call a professional?

Call for help when traffic, weather, damage, unfamiliar equipment, unstable ground, or any uncertainty makes the situation unsafe.

Can I ask about a course before buying?

Yes. Use the Contact page and include the course title and your question so the workshop can respond clearly.

Are updates included after purchase?

Yes. All course material receives periodic refinements based on new vehicle models and safety standards without additional cost.
